Surround Architecture is an award-winning international design firm located in Boulder, Colorado. Our firm is currently accepting applications for a talented, motivated, and experienced Architect or Designer to join the team.  A minimum of 3 years of applicable experience is required.  

We are dedicated to the craft of timeless creative design supported with broad technical competency to bring our clients’ dreams to life within the built environment.   We provide our teammates with intellectual space to dream and collaborate, and headroom to grow professionally.

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Exemplary design and documentation skills, with a high-level working knowledge of Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, and In Design 

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in the MS Office suite of software 

  • Superb organizational skills  

  • Experience in high-end residential architecture 

  • Basic understanding of IRC, IBC, and ANSI 

  • Experience navigating complex municipal environments 

  • Familiarity with energy and wildland interface codes

Responsibilities, Attributes, and Core Requisites 

  • Design, documentation, project management, and project-oriented tasks  

  • Assist in project entitlement efforts 

  • Provide graphics, 3D modeling, marketing, and communication support 

  • Manage project components to larger project goals 

  • Display a client-oriented approach and a creative, positive and dynamic outlook 

  • Prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously 

  • Work effectively without close supervision 

  • Take accountability and ownership of projects from start to finish 

Compensation 

At the time of this job posting, the salary range for the successful and qualified candidate is between $70,000 and $100,000 annually.
